I'll never forget the awkward feeling that came across me when I ran into a one-time past fling at party and could barely remember any details about what we did that night.

It had been 6 months at this point. I forgave myself quickly, I knew it couldn’t have been that bad. I'm sexually confident, responsible and ensure consent is a part of everything I do. I don't have to feel guilty for forgetting, but I just wish I knew where to pick back up.

Nothing was coming back to my mind. Not just the steamy details, but moments as simple as if we drink wine, what kind of music was playing, if I said something embarrassing or who made the first move. It was so long ago, but I remember feeling so disappointed that I let such an intimate experience fly away in my mind.

To be completely honest with you, this can happen for any experience. Years ago I started journaling daily when I realized that all I have in my life are my memories, and if I don't write them down I'll be sure to forget the small, meaningful details that bring me joy in life.

For some reason, my romantic experiences didn't feel like they really made sense to go into my daily journal. Sure, I could try to categorize everything in my existing app, but it felt extremely clunky to try and re-organize my current flow to fit in a couple of sensual experiences here and there.

That's why we made BLACKBOOK. It's a nod to the classic little black book used to keep track of romantic relations, but modernized and secure. It’s also a place you can keep track of your sexual health, and casual dates that don’t always involve sex. My favorite part of the app is that it's structured enough to quickly jot down an experience, but open enough to let you fill in the details however you see fit.

We're excited to see how you incorporate this tool into your life.
